Our Mission

Return to Hope’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for justice-involved women in Tulsa, OK by removing systemic and mental barriers to build self-determination and transformation. 

 

Return to Hope focuses on creating upward mobility through opportunities centered in racial equity.

Return to Hope offers a multi-program approach to help participants develop stability in their lives by providing and connecting to resources that address health & wellness, employment needs, skills training, and lifestyle needs (clothing, beauty, and hygiene products.)

 

This path of change fosters the transformation to help participants find purpose, meaning, change, hope, and a sense of self-worth.

  • Building equity by providing employment resources, fellowships, and workshops

  • Community partnerships to offer employment opportunities and apprenticeships to participants

  • Path to entrepreneurship as an alternative to facing systemic barriers to employment

  • Trauma-informed wellness programming including healing circles, yoga, meditation, and various forms of art expression

  • Nutrition classes as a way to combat health inequities in marginalized communities

  • Access to resources that address mental and physical health barriers.

Thrift Store & Hope Closet

  • Community donations

  • Employment opportunities & skills training - Fashion & Retail Curriculum

  • Program fundraising

  • Provide work and  lifestyle clothing items to participants in the program

Return to Hope is a sister organization to Block Builderz, which provides the next steps to form the foundation for building blocks in the community - community engagement, civic participation, and advocacy.
